That said, The Stand would be in my top 5 books ever. I’ve read it seven or eight times. 11-22-63 is also spectacular. I read it. Watched the Hulu mini-series and now am listening to the audio book.

Two email threads on the same subject with the same subject line, slightly different recipient lists.

It was a really deep thread and at one point I had emailed the internal version with “the customer is not good at math.” And included the correct math.

Some time later we had resolved the issue and I replied to the customer, but somehow ended up on the wrong thread. Fortunately it was so deep that I don’t think they ever saw it. But one of our VPs did. We had an entertaining conversation.

To this day I hate threads that go on for ages and I hate it when people reuse threads.

Yes, but what gorgeous country to get fucked in! When my wife PCSd from Long Island to Fort Knox, we drove through that country several times.

She would also spend a lot of time at Fort Lee (now Gregg-Adams) and the drive from Fort Knox to Fort Lee also crossed amazing parts of WV.

Did you really only use it when you were home? If you used it outside the firewall then port 25 must have been open also.

I used to run my own server and this was in the early 90s. Then one day, perusing the logs I realized I was not smart enough on the security front to even attempt such a thing. It was quickly shut down and the MX record moved to an outsourced mail provider.

I do not register for a political party as I believe voting is an immoral act. I have no right to tell anyone how to live there life. If I were to vote for a candidate I would be indirectly telling others how they should live. If I were to vote for a ballot measure I would be directly telling others how they should live.

Someone recently challenged me on that stance and I’m revaluating it slightly. They asked if I would vote to restore a freedom that had been taken away. I haven’t fully wrestled with that yet, but I’m starting to think that I might should the situation occur.
