Maybe I should, but I just don’t trust circle search. Maybe because it feels so inaccurate.
I have a Garmin venu 3, it’s positioned as the most smart watch / lifestyle focused of the Garmin lineup. I like it for measuring sleep, body battery, steps, playing golf, and reading notifications without pulling out my phone. The gentle reminders to get steps in for the day, weekly active minutes, and sleep quality have genuinely improved my health.
That said it annoys me that they offer no OS or feature upgrades throughout the life of the watch. They do some bug fixes but that’s it.
Everything old is new again.
How would you make money yourself?
I feel this. Some people, like us, enjoy discussing and analyzing things. We can separate who we are as people from the things we think. If someone shows us something we hadn’t considered, our response is “Awesome, I just learned something new!”
Not everyone is like that. For some people, their self worth is tied to knowing things and being right. We need to be aware of the differences.
Yeah I remember there being a way to use a local IDE but no way to do a local development environment.
Yeah it’s the same thing. If you need to connect to a database a lot that usually is more expensive, but static site generators are cheap to host.
How does it compare to the developer experience of Shopify? I hated Shopify. Unforgivable that there wasn’t even a way to have a dev environment, but this was a few years ago.
I’m not sure this is something I’ve thought I want. It’s very rare for a touch to not work as expected.
You can save a lot of money with an open source CMS that has low hosting requirements.
What’s astonishing to me is the amount of people who seem to think that because the GDPR exists – they’re entitled (by birthright I guess) to someone else’s labor. It feels like we’re bordering on feudalism the way people act like they’re owed something from developers.
You’re being dense, the reason is devs get burned out and you’re asking them to do work for free.
This is honeypot security and is a best practice

We’re in a similar spot! I had the same question and unfortunately I don’t know, I’ve only seen one update come through Immich since I’ve had it and it was non-breaking. Tipi just said “check the release notes before updating” – I clicked the “update” button in Tipi and Immich magically updated. My plan if there are more breaking updates is to check out the Tipi Discord and ask there.
Thanks! I set it up last night after getting advice here!
Spiritfarer. Got to a point where I couldn’t figure out how to progress and it’s not super easy to Google how. How do you Google the exact state of a game that you’re in and what you’re supposed to do next?
