Japanese monster fighting movies. Godzillas especially but it needs to be guys in rubber suits doing stunts shot in slow motion. If you have that, I’m there. No matter how bad the acting no matter how bad the story, no matter how horrendous the dub. Give me big rubber monsters fighting and I’m there.

I hate to hear that and it shows how insidious propaganda can be. On the brighter side, I have actually been seeing the opposite happen with a few people I know. I’m jn a deep red area and, mostly because of the Epstein files and how hard farmers as being jerked around, I have seen some people finally stop, think critically, and reassess their views.

I would say most of the customers of Framework are the kinds of people who espouse the kind of antifascist ideology that that guy that started the thread does.
I don’t think that the fascist sympathizer circle and the “willing to pay more money for an ethical laptop that isn’t beholden to a big corporation for repair” circles have much overlap.
This is easy, “Framework doesn’t support fascism or racism in any form. We support open source software and right to repair. Due to concerns with ideology in some of the projects we sponsor we are reviewing the projects we sponsor to make sure that they align with our values as a company.”
The fact that they aren’t willing to say so says plenty.

The Predator will call a human “one ugly motherfucker”. God of course. Meta, edgy, flipping the script just to be different without justifying it in the story. Hollywood perfection.

Put some respect on Predator 2’s name. A movie with Danny Glover and Gary Busey can’t be completely without merit.
Is it good though…I’ll get back to you.

Yes, because theres nothing teens like more than a long dormant (until recently) 80s action movie franchise.
The other thing young people famously like is paying to go to movie theaters.
I hope I’m wrong. Prey was pretty cool, but I dont see myself going out of my way ro see it and I would consider myself a pretty big Predator fan.

The only time I look at ratings are for horror movies. A PG13 horror movie is usually not something worth my time. There are exceptions to every rule bit still.
Usually I want something to move up to PG13 rather than down from R.

I mean its possible. I wonder if they will get to use their 1 legally allowed F word, and who will say it.

This is what we get for buying the cheap Arduino knockoffs all these years instead of the real thing. /s
Well it was fun while it lasted.

Ah yes, the franchise beloved for its extreme violence and awesome practical effects is doing something without extreme violence or practical effects.
Bold strategy Cotton.

This reminds me of my grandpa. He used to drive a semi truck and kids would always do the fist pump wanting him to blow his air horn. He also had a normal wimpy Volvo car horn on the steering wheel.
He would get kids excited like he noticed what they were doing and then honk the wimpy horn. He said they always laughed so much. Then he would toot the big horn.

Oh yeah if AV1 is so great how come there isnt an AV tw…oh wait…
This is so often true that I would love to read a sociological study on why it is.
Thats the old standard.
If you want to, you can get an adapter that will allow you to use the newer lithium batteries on the older tools.

Rock guy is the wildcard fun guy.
Bottle guy is the liability guy.

USB ssds seem to have a lot of weird issues being used for a nas drive. Sometimes its a power management thing on the SSD itself, sometimes its something odd with the USB controller on the host. Occasionally the power supply of the sff pc doesnt have enough amps for all of the peripherals. Using an intermediary like a usb hub makes all of these issues worse since you add another device with its own potential conflicts.
Not to say its not possible to do, but USB drives and NAS’s rarely play nice together.
Dont forget Microsoft Bob
