‘THE FANTASTIC FOUR’ take place during the 60s in an alternate universe, confirms Kevin Feige.
Kevin Feige says he’s most excited for ‘THE FANTASTIC FOUR’ and the upcoming ‘AVENGERS’ films out of all of the upcoming MCU projects.
Kevin Feige has seemingly confirmed that ‘THE FANTASTIC FOUR’ will take place in an alternate universe: “There was a cityscape in the corner [of the Johnny Storm poster], and there were a lot of smart people who noticed that cityscape didn’t look exactly like [our] New York … those are smart observations I will say.”
Kevin Feige shares that ‘THE FANTASTIC FOUR’ will start filming on July 29, right after San Diego Comic Con.
He also talked about Wonder Man.
Brad Winderbaum will be on ‘THE OFFICIAL MARVEL PODCAST’ next week to talk about the upcoming Marvel Television slate.
Sounds interesting. The FF are characters that I really like in concept, but if you ask me my favorite stories I can’t think of one’s outside my head. We’ll see what they do with them.
I’d love to see the trial of Reed Richards. Like, imagine a universe where Reed has ultimate nullifier, Doom has the surf board, and Galactuis is threatening to devour Earth. So Reed uses the threat against Galactus to depower Doom and protect Earth, but then Galactus goes on to devour many more worlds, like Titan, Xandar, and Skrullos, and Reed has to stand trial before Arishem, Ego, and other Celestials. His lawyer is Thanos, who negotiates banishment for the FF and Doom from this universe to one where an incursion is looming and threatening the entire Multiverse, in the hopes that the Reed Family and Doom can figure out how to prevent it.
That’s actually a great pitch.
