The senator flagged thousands of National Science Foundation grants for using words like “female” and “diversify.” A ProPublica analysis found numerous examples of projects caught up in his crude method for identifying research he calls “woke.”

If you’ve ever found something gooey under the kitchen sink that was completely unidentifiable, this is ted cruz.

I probably like Ted Cruz more than most of my fellow senators do. And I HATE Ted Cruz.

They hate and destroy everything they don’t understand. Unfortunately for the rest of us, there’s a lot their dull, uncurious minds don’t understand.

Did these journalists actually find a useful application for an LLM (sifting through a large database to generate leads for a human to follow up on)?

It sounds like they did it right. They used AI to identify things for the humans to examine in more detail.

That is always the best use case of these tools. Find things for humans to use their expertise on.
