Let’s bring the bourgeoisie down before it’s too late. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. Accountability for the traitors to humanity.

That’s what you get for earning value with memes instead of with true quality. It won’t last.
To be fair, he did make a prediction before the election that the DOGE cuts will cause some financial pain.
Hopefully he shorted Tesla.
But consequences aren’t supposed to affect him. That’s why his identity is wealth.
Oh no, I feel really bad for him… Anyway…
And yet… His net worth is still around 370 billion dollars, more than just around half a year ago…
Too. Fucking. Bad.
From community description:
This is a sanctuary for those seeking a break from the incessant negativity often found in today’s news cycle. From acts of everyday kindness to large-scale philanthropic efforts, from individual achievements to community triumphs, we bring you news that gives hope, fosters empathy, and strengthens the belief in humanity’s capacity for good.
Are you sure this one fits in? Why, of all the communities, choose this one specifically?
Because Elon being made miserable is something that most other people would consider to be uplifting - I know it certainly made me happier to read it
It’s the continuation of all the negative news about Musk and Tesla and MAGA. While it is uplifting to some that they have setbacks, I believe this doesn’t help people distract from this shitshow, which I reckon the community is all about.
Besides, people made miserable is not in the spirit of the place, either.
Is it? Or is it just bullshit because Spacex, Palantir and Meta have over 7 Trillion Dollars in government contracts. Tesla is just the sacrificial lamb
I agree with you man. This isn’t uplifting news.
It may feel right and just that the guy is getting push back, but we think more about his other actions and it drags us down, rather than lifting us up.
It’ll get tons of upvotes in all kinds of other subs because most of us want the guy to get hit by karma hard, but it’s not about us feeling good.
It’s comforting to me as a reminder that money is entirely made up, and that my poverty is not a marker of my value. Elon Musk has had every opportunity available to him - the fact that he can’t run a company, has zero fucking knowledge of physics despite pretending to be a super genius despite the fact that he’s never had to chose between skipping a class and taking a shift for rent money - it’s comforting that wealth has zero correlation with capability.
How is it not uplifting to see a fascist who is a billionaire suffer?
Because not all of us are sadists. The guy deserves what’s coming to him, but it’s more than just him.
Aside from the nazi there are tons and tons and TONS of workers who are impacted by the nazi’s choices. They all stand to lose their jobs, bonuses etc out of all of this. If the nazi didn’t exist, there would be no negative connotation with the business. After all, they just make EVs and deal with power generation and storage for the most part, as a business.
Then there’s all the people who have retirement funds which have invested in the business simply because it’s been growing traditionally. I have index funds, so I am personally affected by the valuation loss. I don’t think i’ll avoid buying more QQQM or VOO either, it’s just traditionally beating most fund managers by a large margin with minimal expense.
I’d love to see the guy lose his compensation package and lose his CEO status and board rights, but I doubt any of that will happen. I’d love for him to be prosecuted by all the illegal shit he’s personally directed in these past months, but I doubt it will happen.
Ultimately thinking of all this shit is still net negative and not uplifting for me. Give me some news about how the guy is being forced out and that the workers are being taken care of or something and i’ll be all for it.
Has he tried not being a nazi bastard?
…maybe he’ll do the world a favor and step into an industrial shredder…
(shame about his genetic legacy, but hopefully all their mothers are mostly good people who give them a fighting chance at turning out well)
I’m finding this funny/interesting. Because normally I think consumption boycotts don’t really work that well as a strategy since it takes a lot of people not buying the thing to affect big companies and big companies tend to have so many products people need that it can be hard for a lot of people to completely avoid them.
But Tesla is in a uniquely terrible position for withstanding such a boycott. They sell one big ticket product market substitutes and its success depends almost entirely on its brand. They’re status symbols. They’re virtue signals for climate consciousness. (without you know, actually supporting real solutions like mass transit) And before people noticed how much of a shitbag Musk was, they were associated with his cool Tony Stark tech persona.
Then Musk put himself into a position where anyone who was able to ignore his nonsense before definitely couldn’t now. So this company that was almost entirely dependent on people liking Musk enough to think the cars were cool now loses most of that market appeal.
I hate the schadenfreude journalism. I will never meet this guy, I don’t care how he feels any more than some random South Dakotan. The reason he’s relevant is his outsized impact on government and the country, tell me about that.
Right. I don’t care much about his alignment or even that he’s come out as a Nazi. While it’s a huge red flag, I guess it’s his preference. The important parts are how he acts on those beliefs, who he hurts and how many, how his actions hurt our society
Him publicly being a Nazi is an issue though because it emboldens other Nazis and makes them thing its more socially acceptable to be a Nazi.
It used to be a big deal when a public figure got caught doing a Nazi salute. Public apology, condemnation of Nazism, donation to a holocaust victims charity or similar was expected. For him to do it and not even apologise or try to say it was something else and not be stripped of any roles as a result is a dangerous shift.
Wish their stock would plummet 71%
I’m waiting for that inevitable margin call. Followed by Twitter being repossessed. At that point it will probably be sold off for parts.
He’s selling to himself to get out from under that:
Nvm, some people still talk about stock. Stock price isn’t monthly income. Dividends are. And his insane salary.
Stock price is net worth, which is what rich people care about.
Monthly income can just come tax-free in the form of low interest loans against the value of the stock.
Since we’re talking stock value here …. I don’t believe he actually does have an insane salary. It’s all stock
he’s depressed because as a millionaire he made slightly less money
i’m depressed because i’m queer and autistic and a rich evil fuck in government is killing queer helplines and putting autistic people on kill lists.
we are not the same
*billionaire
He ain’t even depressed, it’s just an act, like him ever being a Democrat.
Elon Musk is a predator acting wounded so that you’ll drop your guard
I knew Elmo is rich, but is he autistic?
He said he was when he hosted SNL
Nah, drugs
Not sure that’s officially been diagnosed, but he sure acts like it.
The weird thing is that this weirdo has more money than it is even possible for him or us to comprehend.
He could lose 99% of his net worth and still be one of the richest men alive.
Right? If I had a fraction of his wealth. I’d fuck off to Bora Bora or something.
So, in Mexico, I don’t if someplace else too, Sushi Roll used to have a drink called Bora Bora and a roll called Bora Bora. I really liked the drink but apparently was causing troubles because waiters kept bringing Bora Bora rolls to people who ordered the Bora Bora drink. This made Sushi Roll to discontinue the drink. This doesn’t have anything to do with your comment or the thread itself, I’m just still pissed.
They should have just re-named it lol.
He got what he wanted. He wants to bow out before the blowback. Do not trust anything this fascist says.
