    People have been acquitted for killing cops who busted into the wrong house.

    Sure, but I’d like to see some statistics. Percentage where the cops won such cases, and where the home owner won. And how all that compares to the opposite case: cops accidentally killing home owners.

      I think the more important statistic is not the ration of won/lost court cases but alive/dead homeowner after a gunshot. Being right is nice but being alive is kinda important.
