As have been said many times, if you enjoy driving, you should support public transport.
Less traffic makes driving more enjoyable.
My state (in Australia) made all public transport across the state cost 50 cents, no matter how far you go.
Very similar results, and it ultimately became successful that both major political parties promised to keep it and make it permanent if elected (which they have since done)

Like anyone playing Cities Skylines already knew to be a good idea. Sadly, this only works for dense population centers. If they made public transport free here, most people would still had to rely on cars.
…i have had a similar experience in Sim City 4. after 15 years, the people had to be FORCED into public transit to reduce traffic. i have yet to play Cities Skylines, but i like all the pictures ive seen of the new ways to make intersections…
