      This can be countered with an object to block the path of the directed sound wave. Something like a clipboard or a garbage can lid would help a lot.

      A concave object could redirect the sound to the operator.

      Seems like a concave, acoustically reflective surface works best at redirecting the pressure waves. I think this video is really well made, Benn Jordan doesn’t mince words and goes in depth.         Heh yeah I went down the rabbit hole last night and stumbled upon his video. Always liked his content, his recent videos as well as his music back in the 2010s.

      Directional EMP is absolutely possible, but generating a predictable, controllable EMP without a nuclear device is hard. Especially if you want the device generating it to be used more than once.
