I wonder if 1920 is a reference to some real world flood, or just supposed to be a generic date a few decades in the past. Also, do they use the Gregorian calendar? Is there a Moominpope?
i know there was some flash flooding in england in 1920…? i assumed it was a random date for world-building, though.
that said, if there’s a pope, i’d bet they’re usually hemulens: similar to moomins but more dogmatic and with less joie de vivre :P
