  Yeah thats the commercial approch but my local grocer doesn’t carry them.

  Fresh yeast is a big waste for an infrequent home baker.
  
  A jar of instant yeast lasts a year in the fridge.
  
  If you don’t even bake that much, the ADY packets will work and last even longer.
