When I joined Lemmy and found this community there was absolutely nothing happening here. I started posting almost everyday. For a long time it felt like I was literally the only person here.

And now I’m seeing posts here on the regular. Sometimes five a day. I keep unsubscribing from communities because they get created and nothing happens. This group has a life now. It didn’t die on the vine.

And thank you for keeping things civil. Food is divisive. Yet I get very few moderator complaints here. Which is nice. Keep it up. Post your food. This is a cooking group. Not a photography group. Not an exotic cuisine group. It’s a place to post your cooking. Keep posting.

I don’t know how one gets leftover ramen broth but using it for beans sounds tasty. Maybe I should add some MSG to my beans.

I sometimes get takeout ramen and end up with quite a bit of broth when I’m done eating everything in it.

Using it to make beans it’s obviously something I do when I know I’ll be the only one eating them, otherwise it’d be icky.

Word of advice, I found the broth is quite salty so you might want to be careful with how much you use and avoid adding extra salt in other ways. The good thing is that a good broth contains everything you need to make those beans tasty. Well, excluding onions, of course.
