It’s hilarious that I’ve been out of UCSD for 20 years and they keep insisting that somehow I’m part of that. Samsung sells me a TV and 20 years later is all… hey wouldn’t it be cool if you give us more money for the same product? It would make the products cheaper for other people and we would actually pay our workers too! We a thrilled! And welcome 🤗!

Where does it ask for money? Maybe I missed it but it just looks like a platform to network with students and alumni
They spam my inbox asking for money. This was just a funny one because it’s welcoming me to what I can only assume will be wave upon wave of money asking events.
My college started mailing me donation requests. They came with a postage-paid envelope and a form with suggested amounts.
I cut out my address, taped it to the form, and wrote “please take me off your mailing list.” It only took two tries before they did it.
I remember getting those too lol.
