You need to have sound on. She’s getting cussed at for what she’s doing
Mostly here to kill time. Big fan of open source game engine recreations/source ports, firmware modding, Linux, and gaming in general.
You need to have sound on. She’s getting cussed at for what she’s doing
Good point. I had forgotten about disabling network access. I think a majority of the games I paid for work off the idea that if you connect a few times or have a certain amount of plays times you can then play offline. Well the ones that check that is.
Maybe I’ll give this a go. Thanks for the advice
What data would be sent off having Google Play services installed? I get that you can disable certain permissions and can also use profiles.
Ideally I wouldn’t want to use profiles. I could use something like Shelter on a rooted device but that kind of slows down multitasking
Thanks but I’m shooting for as little contact with Google as possible
I’ve tried lucky patcher with a few games with minimal luck. I haven’t tried it with Stardew Valley though so maybe there’s a chance
Or a net in the toilet to catch your shit so it doesn’t splash and give you a so-called poseidon’s kiss
Why interfere with natures bidet?
I find a lot of admins forget or neglect bridges which can be frustrating
There’s a few open source front ends for Twitch that I’ve tried but I’ve had the occasional issue with video playback either stopping and being unable to reload or if I’m watching a VOD it won’t consistently remember my position so I’d say I prefer the official app.
Normally I use open source ones when possible such as NewPipe or Invidious for YouTube for example.
I carry a 40 pin connector adapter as well
Honestly USB C adapters. If you EDC a portable power bank it’s worth looking into a USB C to micro and thunderbolt adapter. It’s a lot easier than carrying around multiple cords and an easy way to help out friends and coworkers.
I think I got mine for a few dollars on Ali Express
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck. Chances are it’s probably a duck.
That said they may be taking it as a sign of the other person’s larger ideology. For example if they have a strong anti immigration stance they might come to the conclusion that the person is racist.
There’s sometimes the mentality if you give this person an inch they’ll run with it so they may say it to stop things from derailing
There’s also a ton of dog whistles the alt right use. Remember when the milk emoji was used on Twitter? What about the okay sign? Hawaiian shirts?
That would be nice. If it got popular enough it might be a platform where you can assume someone is somewhat tech minded because they use it.
It could be a baseline for something in common.
Yeah like I said I wasn’t sure where to get information on orientation.
I’d be curious how those numbers overlap with average dating apps and match statistics.
I am not sure how reputable Zippia (or other sources) are when it comes to statistics but if accurate and similar 2022 the tech industry is still mostly men and caucasian.
I wasn’t able to find statistics on sexual orientation. There are a lot of companies vagluely bragging about how inclusive they are and not much in the way of stats.
With more and more people leaving mainstream sites like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook I could see not having to login with another social media platform being what drives people towards a privacy focused dating app even if the actual privacy portion is more of an after thought for most users.
One other website I’d check out if you are getting into any obscure/older games that might not have a lot of comments on ProtonDB is the PCGamingWiki. Lots of fixes are listed there
I think it was a lot of shortsightedness on behalf of Redditors. I feel like there is a lot less tiptoeing around here
Have you heard of ProtonDB? It rates the current state of games and recommended fixes.
Gaming on Linux has improved a lot over the years. It’s typically only multiplayer games with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) that you’ll run into major issues with. Mod managers frequently require a fair amount of extra work and reading but I think a lot of Bethesda games have easy work arounds and documentation.
You can check the emulation wiki and see which ones they recommend. I’m not sure which are available on F-Droid but most of them are available through a GitHub page
