So we can assume they will start with rooting out all the pedophile clergy, yes? No more “transfers” from one small town to the next set of vulnerable rubes?

That’s a really old dog

“Trickle-down” was a rebranding campaign.
It used to be called Horse and Sparrow Economics, with the idea being the Horses eat the grain, and Sparrows peck their meals from the horseshit.
The wealth layer has been playing this game against the poors for a long time.

Social media is the front of the house.
What destroyed the internet are the cabal of Corporations monetizing every interaction and directing flows from the back of the house.
Unfettered Capitalism killed the internet experience.

Is that what I said, or are you creating your own scenario by cherry picking my response?
I get the sense you just want to be angry about this post and responses in general.
I’d prefer not to have this type of Reddit back and forth, especially given you’re already adding details and reframing my words to fit your narrative.
Best of luck to you.
Strangely combative and leading way to pose your question.
No, not unworthy at all. But there’s also a wide divide between asking questions and actually seeking to understand. It’s been my experience that many people have developed a questioning mechanism to mask/cover their embarrassment or willful ignorance, and those people don’t care at all to learn the root lesson, they simply want to “win” whatever they perceive as an argument. Winning the conflict is more important than learning the new information. And socially, that process becomes exceedingly tedious.
As the quote goes, “I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.”
Ban social media and advertising/marketing. Smart phones are just a small computer.
Metaphors are hardly a new device. Anyone who knows how to read above an elementary school level should readily understand metaphors and similes.
