I built up my own personal library through the years that I will probably still be working my way through in 10-15 years, when I find something I like in it I search out more. I realize that doesn’t help anyone else, good luck out there
trans xennial musician
I love synthesizers, all sorts of music (mostly electronic), b/cult movies, science fiction, DIY, graphics design, PC hardware, retro computing (Commodore <3), cooking, singing. I’m truly sorry to anyone I have unintentionally hurt in my confusion about my identity. Love and light. Sorry I can’t talk like a normal human being btw, I’m trying.
Here’s some of my music, grateful if you’d give it a listen: https://etherphon.bandcamp.com/

The stuff up there right now is a tad old, but it is some music that deals with my struggles with my realizations about my sexuality and gender, thus some of it is a little difficult and discordant. I’m working on some more joyous music. It’s 100% hardware based (synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, effects), no computer, DAW or AI involved in recording.

True :/

I went to look for a picture of pauly shore saying tubular and found out that he’s going to be playing richard simmons in an upcoming biopic only i read it as gene simmons and somehow it still sounded pretty hilarious anyways I’ve been hitting the smoky tube

oh geez shut your tube :P
That sounds like exactly my experience actually, originally I had joined for a single purpose server but when I lost interest in that thing, the general servers for example twitch streamers or just general severs I didn’t have the best experience, but I also was a different person so maybe it might be better today who knows. I did get tempted to re install it to join to audio and music making focused communities but after all the headlines lately I don’t think it’s worth it

Yes it’s difficult there is no one size fits all advice for these situations as there are always a million of variables which is why you need to trust your heart I suppose

I liked Cruise’s character in Tropic Thunder and always wished he’d do more character work instead of oh so serious oscar contender movies

I dunno, I think a lot of mechanics are dorks too, just a different kind of dork

Ok see ya later

You keep ignoring the biology part

Yeah that’s true, I suppose I mean to face it instead of avoiding situations where it could occur

Sad but true, so the better equipped we are to deal with it healthier we will be

Agreed I’ve tried to tone down my ranting just so I don’t add to this already toxic stew and attract arguments I don’t wanna be in. I don’t really have much to say about the kid stuff since I’m not a parent

It’s always a tough situation since rejection can hurt a lot, but at the same time if you never tried at all you may never know. So I think it’s worth it to pursue your desire in almost every (romantic) situation if you believe your feelings are true, because the unknown can haunt you for a much longer time
I’m noticing a lot of comics I used to enjoy I now find pretty depressing, self-defeating and conformist, huh

I’m so glad I never pursued Oracle DB as a career, I was considering it at one point in the early 2000s, even went to school. I would have been making a good $100k+ a year instead of struggling along, but at least I still have a soul :P

stealing IP’ is the weakest one in my opinion
Tell that to all the artists who are finding themselves in the training data, a lot of musicians are now finding themselves in those data. Calling it stealing IP is a bit of a misnomer, since that only really cares about the copyright holders, they are outright stealing culture from us

It’s all things I have witnessed in my 30 years of personal experience as a driver, it’s not stereotypes, it’s basic human biology

I mean it was a hyperbolic example, the point being that they often drive much slower than the posted limit and/or the speed of traffic, have problems merging, accelerate extremely slowly, brake unpredictably, or are confused. Of course the same could be said about any driver, but it’s just a basic fact of physiology that human faculties decline with age and that operating a heavy motor vehicle at that time can be hazardous, especially with the size of vehicles today.
Yeah this is also a key part lol
