I think culture plays a huge part in this. In heavily industrialized countries (like America, for example), we are taught that more is always better and that living a simple life is somehow shameful or a waste of potential (not everyone believes this, of course - I’m generalizing). Many, many studies have consistently shown that the happiest people on earth are often those who lead the simplest lives. Perspective really is everything.

Life is making mistakes and deciding how to live with them. :)

There have been times in my life where I was happy but didn’t realize it until it was too late, so this checks out.

I’m pretty sure everyone understood what I meant, anyway.

I’m not sure I would call using a third-party email client a ‘fringe’ use case. As of yesterday, Thunderbird has 10,992,366 active daily installations. Sure, it’s probably not as many as mobile clients, but that’s still a helluva lot of people using it.

AI is already opt-out for DDG. Anyone can use DuckDuckGo without AI.

Dating is the ‘trial phase’ of a relationship. Marriage isn’t required, but the more solid your relationship becomes, the more long-term commitments you’re inclined to make. Ending a relationship that isn’t working for you (and understanding why it isn’t) is the mature and responsible thing to do.

There are a couple of methods that I use to discover new artists on Bandcamp. First, you can search by genre on the site itself, which will give you a listing of artists in that genre. Grab a glass of your preferred beverage and spend some time checking them out - each artist’s page has samples of their music that you can stream for free (most have entire albums that can be streamed). I have found tons of artists that I love just by doing this very thing.
The second method I use is Music Map which lets you put in your favorite artists and then shows you other artists with a similar sound (which you can then look up on Bandcamp). It can be really hit or miss, but I’ve found a few artists I like this way.
Hope that helps - have fun listening to new tunes! :)

Totally agree. I just wish I had more money to spend with Bandcamp. :D
I’m quite happy with the Mullvad browser.
The “Complete Mediterranean Cookbook” has become my bible. It comes in both physical and digital editions. Can’t recommend it enough!
The thing that put me off of Tuta is that you cannot use it with any other mail client (like Thunderbird, for example).

What are these ‘friends’ you speak of?
Posteo really doesn’t get enough acknowledgment, in my opinion. They’re a great and secure email service that seems to fly under the radar for most people. I recommend checking them out.
In my experience, this is pretty much the entirety of the internet.
