Quick refresher on articles from last year such as TheGuardian:

Evidence points to systematic use of rape and sexual violence by Hamas in 7 October attacks

Guardian aware of sexual assaults for which multiple corroborating pieces of evidence exist

At least seven women who were killed were also raped in the attack, according to Prof Ruth Halperin-Kaddari, a legal scholar and international women’s rights advocate, from her examination of evidence so far.

The New York Times and NBC have both identified more than 30 killed women and girls whose bodies bear signs of abuse, such as bloodied genitals and missing clothes, and according to the Israeli welfare ministry, five women and one man have come forward seeking help for sexual abuse over the past few months.

Israel women’s groups warn of failure to keep evidence of sexual violence in Hamas attacks

Several incidents of sexual assault and rape from 7 October have been documented by Hamas body camera footage, CCTV, material uploaded to social media, and photographs and videos taken by civilians and first responders, according to several people involved in analysing the footage. Survivor and witness testimonies, many from the Supernova rave, describe seeing women being raped before they were shot.

Ben Hetar was also responsible for the area of sexual offenses. “Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to prove these offenses,” she says. "In the end, we have no complainants. What was presented in the media compared to what will ultimately emerge will be completely different. Either because the victims were murdered, or because the women who [were] raped are not prepared to reveal it. We contacted women’s rights organizations and asked for cooperation. They told us that they simply did not contact them. There were parents who contacted the organizations and asked what to do if something happened to their daughter, but they did not disclose the abuse

Yeah, the mod abuse on lemmy is getting out of control.

There should be an easier way to view censored content. I support adding a feature that lets users click censored comments to see what they say instead of having to sift through the modlogs.

We can, and should, also create new communities and instances as necessary when ones like these become infested with biased mods.

Thank you so much! I had no idea this was possible.

I don’t think his comment should have been removed.
