This gem of a series, about an actor with superpowers, is a clever, tender take on male friendship and the film industry. It’s a triumph of storytelling – and a masterclass in acting

The actors and the writing are absolutely stellar, but I had a hard time with the (intentionally) cringe elements.

The first episode goes into excruciating detail to show how Simon gets in his own way, even when he already has an acting gig. There are similar moments in the other episodes at which point I had to walk away.

I’ll be back, I love watching the two mains together, but I have to be in the right mind set for Cringe and I aint there today.

I think that’s a pretty fair review. It generally outlines the plot that is covered in the first two episodes and hints at the rest without giving too much away.

It’s the story and relationship of two actors who live in the MCU, but if the MCU didn’t exist you could still tell this story.

Just a little confused, from where do you access the site and get a Paywall?

      I’m guessing it’s location based?

I’m in Germany and never got a Paywall for the guardian.

      Thank you nevertheless!
