Not that I’ve seen evidence of. There was an article posted from some right-leaning hack website that’s said as much in a title but when you read the article the quote they had could’ve been interpreted a bunch of ways and the most natural reading of it didn’t imply that at all. So until I see any evidence, that story is bullshit.
Whitmer has done a lot of good for the state, but is imperfect, and it doesn’t really matter to me who she endorses because I’m supporting progressives in the primaries. I miss having politicians with bold, uplifting visions for the future I don’t care if “they can’t ever get that done.” Give me a thousand dreamers who can’t get it done over anyone who acts like it’s the oligarch’s world and we can only turn up the A/C on our slow descent into hell. And who knows — they just might lay the foundation to attain those dreams.
In a way it kind of is, I’d rather someone be an open and honest fascist than a closet fascist/fascist collaborator. Easy to read intentions and I know to expect absolutely nothing from you but pain.
