  • The way Redball works (the game thread bot program that is used across this instance) is that we have to specify a single team to post a game thread for. This bot is meant to be used for each individual community (i.e. instead of posting this to /c/nfl I would have to have one bot post to /c/chargers and a second bot post to /c/titans). Because I would rather post one single game thread for each game to /c/nfl, I have been turning on bots for the home team to post the games here. So if the home team wins, the title is [Home Team] defeated the [Away Team], but if the home team loses then the title will be [Home Team] fell to [Away Team].

I had no part in programming this, so I’m not sure what to change to make it consistent across game threads regardless of winner. You can visit the Github and submit a feature request for this or play around with the files if you are good with Python.

Message me directly if you have any more questions, I’m not much of a programmer but I am running the NFL thread bots right now, excluding the Eagles bot.
