This is the kind of thing that could only be successful in a place like America where the privacy walls aren’t properly designed because somehow it’s cheaper that way.
It is not about it being cheaper. US bathrooms are literally designed to be hostile to keep people from loitering.
This is outrageous. How can you make friends like this? You people are animals.
I bet someone working there installed them themselves, not management or owners.
That’s nice, I guess. Not as nice as a proper door and walls, but still.
I like the stalls with the privacy gaps more. I’ve been in too many European bathrooms that are damp and smell like shit due to inadequate ventilation.
But it’s usually open at the top or there’s a ventilator of sorts, always one of the 2. Come to think of it, it’s probably a requirement.
I’ve been in enough to see that there isn’t much air movement at all, usually made worse as there is a door to the stall with an undersized louver or no louver at all.
It may be a code requirement now, but I’ve seen a lot of places where it either isn’t working or isn’t there.
Why doors? Have it open. Why in a room? Have it open. Why a specific place have it open!
You want to shit on the street?
And we’ve all been in stinking, poorly kept stalls. They’re kind of separate issues.
I’ve found the quality of stalls in the USA is far better than Europe in public places, especially when it comes to smell and moisture.
how the hell do you not asphyxiate from the gas buildup?
My work in USA installed these !
I like to stick my finger through the gap and ask the passerby to pull my finger, it’s the only way to release the gas.
No more long toilet paper streamers!
“No! Not my privacy strips!” - Deputy Director of the CIA, Avery Bullock.
What part of not the USA is this?
Stink gaskets.
How many of you have ever peeked thru the gap to see something?
